Potter Rapids, Saskatchewan, Canada
Four Hundred years ago explorers guided by First Nations people paddled canoes through northern Saskatchewan at peace with nature. They lived off the fish they caught, dried meat and Bannock and drank pure water from the Churchill River. Long graceful canoes meant quick travel through lakes, rivers, and rambling rapids. The Walleye and Northern Pike fishing were great.
Some things never change.
The Churchill River is a series of island-filled lakes joined by fantastic rapids and turbulent falls winding through the Precambrian Shield.
