The Best Walleye Fishing in the World!

Imagine a trip of a lifetime to a place unspoiled, a place blessed with natural beauty, clean clear water, fresh air scented with spruce and pine, the rocky granite outcroppings of the Canadian shield, add to this some of the best Walleye and Northern Pike fishing in Canada and you will have the makings of an angling adventure to remember.

The adventure begins at the historic town of Stanley Mission where you will be met at the dock by staff at Voyageur Lodge.

Stanley Mission is your last chance to shop for that bit of fishing gear or any personal items you may have left behind.

Once you've loaded up your gear your guide will take you on a half-hour boat tour of the unspoiled Churchill River to your destination at Voyageur Lodge.

Your guide from the Churchill River Voyageur Lodge will lead you through the same traditional waterways and portages, used by explorers and local aboriginal communities alike. You will enjoy wildlife where and when you find it. You will fish in the same fishing holes as the eagles and the pelicans have for centuries. Your guide will be a professional who has spent his whole life living near or on the Churchill River.

Enjoy the best air, water, and nature you've ever had. Enjoy the Churchill River Voyageur Lodge.

Voyageur Lodge is fully equipped with modern aluminum boats, comfortable seats, and outboard motors. When you set out from the docks just below the rapids you can look forward to world class Walleye fishing just minutes from home base.

Our Guides

During your stay you will have a chance to get to know many of our guides. We have the most highly trained and experienced guides in Saskatchewan. Our guides are born and raised in the area and have a broad knowledge of routes, the boreal forest, landforms and history of the area.

Shore Lunch

After a morning of non-stop action, you will be taken to a scenic spot for shore lunch prepared by our guides while you relax on the shore, or you can return to camp and cook on our outdoor barbeques, while enjoying the view of Potter Rapids. Shore lunch features fresh walleye fillets cooked in a time honoured northern style. It's hard to beat, walleye fresh from the waters of a cold clean northern river. A shore lunch is as much about taking a break from non-stop fishing and about visiting with friends, relaxing in an atmosphere far from cell phones and emails as it is about eating.

What to Bring

Food, Clothing (rain gear), tackle, personal items, cooler (for taking fish home), Insect repellent, camera.

We recommend a 6-7 foot medium action spinning outfit rigged with 6-12lb. test line. Daredevils, spoon, plugs and 1/4 & 5/8 oz jigs of all colours work best. We have a supply of minnows available at camp.
